Weekend-ish

Another day waking up at one in the afternoon. I suppose this is a feature of the aging college student. More depressingly, it's somewhat acceptable. How did this happen? I have to be in class for just (quick calculation) 11 hours a week, and I can barely make it. And I whine about it! Compare this with the time we spend in class in high school (slower calculation), about 45 hours a week, and it's not very encouraging. College has become the weekend of life for the average person. High school can be tricky and is definitely time-consuming. You even learn a thing or two. Then you hit college, and it's a nice break where you get to do what you want, not think about learning, go to bed late and, ceremoniously, sleep in 'til one. Then after graduation, you hit the career portion of life and, I'm guessing, it probably doesn't feel that much different than a Monday morning. So here I am, Sunday evening (metaphorically speaking), and I've got free time, but I'm thinking about Monday, and it makes me kind of wish it was Friday afternoon again. Was all this too obscure?

The Beginnings
